We have had a busy few weeks! We have made diguises for turkeys so they won't be Thanksgiving dinner. We had Math night with all kinds of activities. In Science, we have been studying rocks and how we use them. We used goggles for safety and magnifying glasses to observe the rocks. Here are a few pictures from our festivities!

Today was Pioneer Day and Oh did we have fun!! Since Pioneer Reunion is this week, we had our own Pioneer Day at school. Several of the kids wore their boots! Two girls had the exact same pair...even the size was the same.
This week, we studied the letter Mm; learned the color words blue, purple, pink, black, brown, and white; and we sorted objects in Math. We have had a very full week and are anxiously awaiting all the festivities of Pioneer Reunion. I will be looking for you and hoping to snap a picture of you! Have a great weekend.
First, we listened to the man who will be announcing the rodeo, T.C. Long! Then, we had a concert from a country singer, Jay Hollis.
We colored bandanas, roped cows, and took a hay ride. We are all tired, but had a blast on Pioneer Day.

And the second week of school begins!! Yay. Everyone came back so excited and ready to get busy. This week, we will be studying the letter Ss. We will be starting our take home reading binders. In Math, we will be sorting all kinds of objects into many different groups. We will be learning our colors red, orange, yellow, and green, and the words that go along with them. We will be reading those words VERY soon!! Our week will be full of fun things to learn. On Friday, we will finish it up at the pep rally cheering the Bearcats on.
I hope everyone enjoyed the day off on Monday. It was a very nice break after the busy first week.
Hopefully, I will be able to update our blog every Monday. I am going to try my hardest to keep it that way. Have a fantastic week!! Hope to see you all sometime during the week.

The lockers are full and the kids are having a blast! We have made it through most of our first week. Everyone is doing fabulous! Lots of happy kiddos are doing tons of fun things.
We read the book "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" and colored a coconut tree. Then we used stickers to make our names. How many letters are in your name???
